The inability of a child to thrive in a Constitutionally protected God based perpetual threat and rape culture is not a fault of the child; however it does become their odious responsibility upon reaching adulthood to resolve the harms done to them. The Christian religion at its core is a toxic mechanism whereby intergenerational trauma is kept alive, active, and deeply embedded in each new generation, as it has done over the past 2,000+ years.
A powerful condemnation of the Catholic Church’s handling of the rape of children by it's clergy and followers.

For over 40 years, the Catholic Church has implemented policies that shield pedophile priests and other sexual abusers. These policies infiltrate Catholic Education, Health, Charity, Community, Social Justice, and other Church systems, as well as government-funded services like Carelink in Australia, which are run by Catholic organizations using public funds. This protection is reinforced from pulpits worldwide, enabling pedophilia and the sexual abuse of children—a glaring moral hazard.
This moral hazard, undeniable since at least 1962, is not a recent phenomenon but part of a long-standing pattern within the Catholic Church. The 2002 Boston Globe investigation, conducted by the newspaper’s Spotlight team, exposed the Archdiocese of Boston’s systematic cover-up of child sexual abuse by priests. It revealed how Church leaders reassigned abusers to new parishes rather than reporting them to authorities, sparking a global outcry and criminal prosecutions. This investigation highlighted that the Church’s policies of protecting abusers were not isolated incidents but part of a broader, institutionalized problem.
Further evidence emerged from the Australian Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse (2013–2017), which investigated responses to abuse across multiple sectors, including the Catholic Church. The Commission documented over 4,000 cases of abuse in Church-run institutions, finding that leaders consistently failed to act on allegations, often prioritizing the Church’s reputation over the safety of children. Together, the Boston Globe investigation and the Royal Commission confirm that the protection of abusers is a global issue entrenched in Church practices.
The Church defends this corruption with excuses like “safeguarding the Church’s reputation,” “being a good Catholic,” or “doing God’s work.” They tout charitable acts—such as St. Vincent de Paul distributing furniture to the poor—as if these deeds absolve the global crimes against humanity committed through child sexual abuse. They shift blame, claiming, “The government was complicit too,” or “With more public funding, we could do more good.” These justifications ring hollow. No amount of charity can offset the systematic abuse of children in every nation where the Church operates.
This is a moral hazard, plain and simple.
To label it otherwise reflects the denial and deception ingrained in its followers, a mindset fostered by generations of Church manipulation. This denial is part of the cover-up and poses a moral hazard to society at large. Governments, too, bear responsibility to protect their citizens from such atrocities. When they fail—by funding or enabling these corrupt systems—they become a moral hazard themselves.
The above is a powerful condemnation of the Catholic Church’s handling of sexual abuse, framing it as a systemic moral failing. The revisions make it clearer and more structured, though it would benefit from specific evidence to back your claims. If you have data—like case studies, dates, or statistics—I’d recommend weaving them in. The government angle could be a separate critique; here, it risks diluting your focus on the Church unless fleshed out. Overall, this version corrects illiteracy and tightens reasoning while preserving your voice. Let me know if you’d like further refinement!

2023 Findings in Spain found that 0.6% of the population of Spain had been sexually abused by Roman Catholic priests and laity. Up to 50 million alive on any day who have been raped or abused by Catholic clergy &/or Catholic laity
Current world population is 8 billion - 0.6% = 48 million alive today who are likely to have been raped by Catholics globally.
The church protected the perpetrators, not the victims
"This is a matter for the church and I respect the internal judgements of the church. I don't stand outside the church and provide them with public lectures in terms of how they should behave. I've noted carefully what his Holiness has said in the United States. Obviously that was a source of great comfort and healing in the United States. I'm like all Australians very much looking forward to what the Pope has to say here in Australia as well, as I am to my own conversation with the Pope later this morning." small statistical glitch around the year 2000. History shows this to have been a display of absolute ignorance
