The inability of a child to thrive in a Constitutionally protected God based perpetual threat and rape culture is not a fault of the child; however it does become their odious responsibility upon reaching adulthood. The Christian religion at it's core is a toxic mechanism whereby intergenerational trauma has been kept alive, active and deeply embedded in each new generation over the past 2,000+ years.

This is a very relevant conversation as it applies to every police jurisdiction in the country.
Why do I have an interest in this? Back around 2009 when I met with the Commissioner for Police in Queensland at a Community Cabinet meeting to talk to my State Government about their engagement and enablement of crimes against children that go on to haunt them for the rest of their adult life and the way policing conducted itself in those circumstances and on through a Victorian inquiry, the Royal Commission into Institutional abuse of children up to present day encounters such as the dysfunctional actions of the NSW Minister for Police and his public targeting of vulnerable individuals.
Coming to this point again causes me to ponder the task of finding support, funding to formalize a way to convey information like this and more about the outcomes for us as survivors and about the causes of the way we deal with and learn from the experience and of the utmost importance of finding a safe place, safe connections with safe Trauma Informed, Evidence based, Secular Service Providers.
In the coming year I hope to look further putting that plan into effect. For those who have made it this far could you please share this link to those you feel will have a genuine interest in becoming proactive in telling the story of the many ways to find safety and recovery from early childhood sexual abuse. In this episode of the podcast, Sam Harris speaks with Rener Gracie about police procedure and about the specialrelevance of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for safely controlling resisting suspects.
Rener Gracie is a third-generation member of the legendary Gracie Family credited with creating the self-defense system known as Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. He started learning the family craft at two years old, and he was 10 years old when his father created the UFC. Today, Rener is the co-owner and chief instructor at the Gracie University of Jiu-Jitsu, the global jiu-jitsu organization headquartered in Southern California. With over 180 brick-and-mortar locations worldwide, and over 300,000 students learning via the interactive online jiu-jitsu portal (GracieUniversity.com), Rener has dedicated his life to sharing jiu-jitsu with the world.
In recent years, Rener has become a central figure in the discussion surrounding police use of force in the United States. With over 20 years of experience teaching law enforcement professionals, he presents compelling data that substantiates the need for more training for police officers at a time when many are fighting to "defund the police," which would accomplish the exact opposite.

"This is a matter for the church and I respect the internal judgements of the church. I don't stand outside the church and provide them with public lectures in terms of how they should behave. I've noted carefully what his Holiness has said in the United States. Obviously that was a source of great comfort and healing in the United States. I'm like all Australians very much looking forward to what the Pope has to say here in Australia as well, as I am to my own conversation with the Pope later this morning." Kevin Rudd, Prime Minister of Australia, 17 July 2008. more
