The inability of a child to thrive in a Constitutionally protected God based perpetual threat and rape culture is not a fault of the child; however it does become their odious responsibility upon reaching adulthood. The Christian religion at it's core is a toxic mechanism whereby intergenerational trauma has been kept alive, active and deeply embedded in each new generation over the past 2,000+ years.

Re anger. It is very often about who we direct our anger at and about what.
The hard part about that when it comes to religion is that your parents, their parents and those before them were entrapped by the same process. It is only now when there is more visibility to the real crimes of religion that we can see today and that of itself is a gargantuan shift in the psyche of our communities.
When you are born into cultures like these you are helpless and defenseless and the only way to be safe is to go along with whatever is necessary to survive as another "odd man out" in a community that is terrified by a thought that might question things that you have questioned and understand better than most the reality of their ignorance.
We can change though it is easier for younger people who have access to others and can communicate relatively freely.
In times gone by the equivalent of today's txt messages were scribbled notes to friends or comments. If you were caught you were brought to the front of the class and humiliated in front of them.
They repeated that until you were forced into compliance. It is no easy task while those feelings are there; I found afew things that helped me when things got really rough and sometimes dangerous.
A policeman I spoke with encouraged me to record every incident with as many details as possible. He encouraged me to do one thing no matter how small on each day to develop your knowledge and to talk with others about your recovery.
Most helpful of all was something my first psychologist encouraged me to do for the first few months of pretty intensive counseling - that was to write her an email every morning and every evening. Doing that built up a habit for me that I continue on my own in my email and now have a few thousand drafts that have come in handy whenever I have needed to go back to a date or time and I have a quite comprehensive log of my life experience in recovering.
It is a good craft to develop as it teaches you how to express your thoughts and feelings and it helps you to be self sufficient and self reliant in many better ways.

"This is a matter for the church and I respect the internal judgements of the church. I don't stand outside the church and provide them with public lectures in terms of how they should behave. I've noted carefully what his Holiness has said in the United States. Obviously that was a source of great comfort and healing in the United States. I'm like all Australians very much looking forward to what the Pope has to say here in Australia as well, as I am to my own conversation with the Pope later this morning." Kevin Rudd, Prime Minister of Australia, 17 July 2008. more

Wednesday, 22 June 2022 - I may not have this down syntax, word and letter perfect or with absolute precision in every aspect; however time and the evidence will show that I am closer to the truth than any religion has been or will likely be.
Let history be the standard by which that is measured.

The Commissioner informs us that the clergy sexual abuse issue was all over and that it had only been a small statistical glitch around the year 2000. History shows this to have been a display of absolute ignorance on the issue ...
