The inability of a child to thrive in a Constitutionally protected God based perpetual threat and rape culture is not a fault of the child; however it does become their odious responsibility upon reaching adulthood. The Christian religion at its core is a toxic mechanism whereby intergenerational trauma is kept alive, active, and deeply embedded in each new generation, as it has done over the past 2,000+ years.

Culture, Tradition and the Dirty War Denying Recovery for Victims in Australia

Friday, 12 June 2020 11:53:35 AM

There are so many good authors out there bringing good science and evidence to the fore yet a valid diagnosis is not well known in medical and health throughout the country.
Judith Hermann Trauma and Recovery and more
Peter Levine Waking the Tiger and more
Alice Miller For Your Own Good and more
Bessel van der Kolk The Body Keeps the Score and more

As well there are others who focus on evidence like Robert Sapolsky, Alan Alda, Stephen Porges along with others who have followed the paths Complex-PTSD and followed the directions of the evidence.

Culture, tradition and horrifyingly poor governance in Australia are failing those abused as children. The failures of the Redress process have come supposedly been solved. The reality is that victims get to compete in a disclosure marathon as this is the requirement of the scaffold designed for this process. The issue of retraumatizing the victim yet again is pushed aside as an unecessary impediment in the task of obtaining "suitable evidence". The fallacy is that that is not necessary and can be life threatening as well as prolonging the victims suffering through habituation and repeat retramatic events.

That this has not been appropriately addressed is evdenced by the failure to provide readily accessible and verifiable service providers. The waste in time, money and resources must be great; the cost in human suffering is incalculable.

CPTSD is not a diagnosis for the majority of medical and health practitioners in Australia simply because the diagnostic manual that they rely on does not include CPTSD and through that they deny the reality of every child who experienced more than one instance of trauma.

The most successful treatments that I am aware of are from the above people and more.

Incredibly while CPTSD is not listed in the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual) despite being provided overwhelming evidence in the 1990s along with the intention to include the new evidence.

Now more than 26 years after having that evidence their failure continues to contribute to the use of anti-depressants and anti psychotics which have high risks of ideation, suicide, murder and violence.

At the same time we have a government funded first class research organization Blue Knot Foundation who strongly support the trauma informed, science based evidence along with open support for those mentioned above. They have limited funds and so the task of educating an entire country that its medical practices are out of date and are not supported by the currently available evidence which in my view is a human rights crime while they allow this to continue.

It is the failure of government that so many endure prolonged suffering and severe loss of autonomy in a perpetual static state

The cost in human suffering and lives lost are legendary and ever present in survivor circles and individuals who get to live in a constant state of trauma not much different than self isolating for COVID-19 virus.

And yet this has not made its way into widely available and readily accessible treatment. The best of science is not being promoted and is not safely and not readily available to those seeking recovery.

There is a real need for a safe mechanism whereby prospective clients can asses if their practitioner is Faith based or Science and evidence based and when treating those abused by religion there is the strongest need to protect the rights of those individuals to seek unbiased and unaffiliated practitioners.

2023 Findings in Spain found that 0.6% of the population of Spain had been sexually abused by Roman Catholic priests and laity. Up to 50 million alive on any day who have been raped or abused by Catholic clergy &/or Catholic laity

Current world population is 8 billion - 0.6% = 48 million alive today who are likely to have been raped by Catholics globally.

"This is a matter for the church and I respect the internal judgements of the church. I don't stand outside the church and provide them with public lectures in terms of how they should behave. I've noted carefully what his Holiness has said in the United States. Obviously that was a source of great comfort and healing in the United States. I'm like all Australians very much looking forward to what the Pope has to say here in Australia as well, as I am to my own conversation with the Pope later this morning." Kevin Rudd, Prime Minister of Australia, 17 July 2008. more

Wednesday, 22 June 2022 - I may not have this down syntax, word and letter perfect or with absolute precision in every aspect; however time and the evidence will show that I am closer to the truth than any religion has been or will likely be.
Let history be the standard by which that is measured.

Youtube - listen to Commissioner Bob Atkinson get it wrong - again
The Commissioner informs us that the clergy sexual abuse issue was all over and that it had only been a small statistical glitch around the year 2000. History shows this to have been a display of absolute ignorance on the issue ...
